What Parents Say...

"He has loved the sculpting class!"
   - Kim R. (9/28/20)

"She LOVES your camp!"
   - Christine L. (7/29/20)

"Thank you for teaching us how to draw a swan and sculpt a hound dog.  They turned out great. If you hadn't helped us they would have looked bad. You help us sculpt and draw many things and they look great. Thank you again for all you've done."
   - Neomi & Misa (5/29/20)

"Thank you for doing this! Nolan loves the after school classes and was so happy when I told him there was an online session.  Thanks in advance!"

What is sculpting?

Sculpting is one of the best ways to grow a child's dexterity and creativity.  Sculpting increases fine motor skills and can even help improve their overall academic achievement as they learn to focus on the task at hand and parlay that into their academic studies. Creativity increases as one learns to sculpt through online sculpting classes, giving those students a creative advantage.

How to sculpt:

1. Choose something as an understructure that you can make the same "skeleton" shape as your final project.
2. Cover the skeleton with the core color.
3. Add the appropriate shaped accouterments.
4. If using a polymer based clay, bake at the recommended temperature.  Usually 275˙ degrees for 15 minutes.
5. It's better to bake it slightly cooler for longer than too hot, too fast.

Just like drawing, sculpting isn't a talent.  Learning to sculpt is a skill that is learned.  People will often say, "I'm not very good at art," but how many times has that person done something artistic in the last month?

It's the same with sculpting.  Practice makes better.  Practice makes precise.  Practice makes creativity.  And yes, practice eventually makes perfect.

Join us on a sculpting escapade!  We have two easy options:
